Digital Influencer and Advocate

Lizzy Savetsky is a digital influencer with a passion for Jewish life, Israel, matchmaking, and fashion. Lizzy is best known for sharing her journey of fashionable Jewish motherhood on her social media channels, often featuring her two young daughters and baby boy. She is an outspoken advocate for Israel and the Jewish people, and against anti-Semitism. Lizzy is proud to have served as the Honorary Grand Marshal for the 2022 Celebrate Israel Parade. Professor Avram Hershko 
Nobel Laureate and ICRF Research Professorship Grant Recipient 

Prof. Avram Hershko, along with his colleagues, Profs. Aaron Ciechanover (also an ICRF Research Professorship grantee) and Irwin Rose, were awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2004 for their earlier work discovering how the chemical, ubiquitin, works to control protein degradation as part of the process of mitosis (cell division). This work, in turn, was the basis for the development of a drug, Velcade®, the first effective therapy for multiple myeloma, a cancer of the blood.
