ICRF Los Angeles Presents: A Special Brilliant Minds Webinar Featuring Dan Raz, MD of City of Hope

Dan J. Raz, MD, MAS  

Dan Raz is a thoracic surgeon and scientist. Dr. Raz completed medical school at the University of Pennsylvania and Surgery residency at the University of California San Francisco. There he also earned a Master’s degree in clinical research and completed a translational research fellowship in thoracic oncology. He then completed a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Raz and is the co-director of the Lung Cancer and Thoracic Oncology Program and Director of the Baum Family Thoracic Oncology Laboratory.  Dr. Raz’s laboratory research is focused on identifying new cancer treatments targeting epigenetic changes to overcome treatment resistance in lung cancer. Dr. Raz was a Paul Calabresi K12 scholar at City of Hope and in addition to generous support from ICRF, his research has been supported by awards from the Doris Duke Foundation, V Foundation, and Lung Cancer Research Foundation.
