ICRF is currently supporting several projects in this area of cancer treatment. Meet one of the currently funded researchers below:

Dr. Perets is a physician-scientist and medical oncologist whose work is focused on patients with gynecological malignancies. About 10 years ago, she genetically engineered a mouse model of ovarian cancer; but, over time, she discovered that the mice also developed non-ovarian tumors, thus hindering their use in her studies. Her current goal is to develop a new and improved mouse model that can be used to enhance preclinical testing of new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for ovarian cancer.
