Guest Speaker:

Lori Ruskin
Personal Trainer, Breast cancer survivor

Lori Ruskin (56) lives in Deerfield with her husband David and their golden doodle. She has two children, Dylan (24) and Marley (22). Lori has been a personal trainer for over 16 years in addition to being a nutritional specialist. She loves what she does and is passionate about the health and wellness industry. Lori is a 6-year breast cancer survivor who had a double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery. She is deeply committed to helping others going through this horrific experience and is a volunteer at Immerman Angels. She has also volunteered at the Kellogg Cancer Center as well as the Cancer Wellness Center in Northbrook. Lori’s own experience and those of the cancer survivors in her family have provided her with a deep understanding of breast cancer, from the emotional to the medical aspects of the disease, and she is devoted to helping friends who are going through the same experience.
