Frances Ginsburg, MD
Reproductive Endocrinologist & Infertility Specialist
Member, Medical Staff, Stamford Health

Dr. Frances Ginsburg is a mostly retired gynecologist who moved to Stamford with Rabbi Gerry Ginsburg and their children 40 years ago.

Professionally, she was a reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist, as well as an educator. She served as director of the Stamford Hospital Ob/Gyn residency program for 25 years and is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia’s medical school, where she lectures to current trainees. As a gynecologist, she dedicated herself not only to helping infertile patients, but also to emphasizing cancer prevention and early detection.

Dr. Ginsburg is deeply embedded in the Stamford community. She is an active volunteer consultant with Planned Parenthood of Southern New England, seeing patients there as well as at the Americares Free Clinic. She volunteers with the City of Stamford’s Medical Reserve Corps and leads a team for the Bennett Cancer Hope in Motion walk.

She is an active member of Temple Beth El, coordinating many events for Sisterhood. In addition, she is a member of Stamford’s Chevrah Kadisha.

Dr. Ginsburg’s special relationship with ICRF is based on both professional and personal experience. She is a three-time cancer survivor. The disease has affected at least four generations of her family, and she believes passionately that research is the key to advancing progress against cancer.

Steven Lo, MD, Director
Medical Oncology & Hematology, Stamford Health

Dr. Steven Lo, Director of Medical Oncology at the Bennett Cancer Center, has cared for cancer patients for more than 30 years. Dr. Lo chose oncology because it is a challenging field where he believes he can make a difference.

Known for empowering his patients to take an active role in their own care, he ensures that they can meet treatment goals while maintaining quality of life. Dr. Lo is recognized for the enduring relationships he builds with patients, many of whom remain connected with him years after treatment.

He was recognized by the Breast Cancer Alliance for outstanding care and advocacy.
