ICRF-Funded Research Uncovers New Pathway Driving Aggressive Cancer Growth
Research led by Prof. Idan Cohen, a former grant recipient who received an ICRF Research Career Development Award, along with colleagues at Ben-Gurion University, recently published online in Nature Communications, shows how cancer-driving changes can disrupt the systems that regulate gene activity, allowing tumors to become more aggressive. Restoring these controls slowed tumor growth, pointing to a potential new strategy for future cancer therapies.
