ICRF-Funded Research in the News: Viagra May Help Prevent Cancer From Spreading, Study Finds

Former ICRF-funded researcher Prof. Ayelet Erez and colleagues at the Weizmann Institute of Science, along with researchers from Clalit Health Services, published a study in Cancer Research suggesting that sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, may help limit cancer metastasis by disrupting how cancer cells access cholesterol, a resource they need to spread. This study was funded in part by ICRF.
