Cancer is the leading cause of death in Canada.
It is estimated that in 2020, 617 Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer, and, 228 Canadians will die from cancer every day.
During these demanding times, the cancer community is especially vulnerable. Cancer patients are largely an elderly population, immuno-suppressed due to chemotherapy, are experiencing significant treatment delays and a lack of access to physicians.
The need to support basic science and clinical research programs of our leading medical institutions both in Montreal and Israel, is greater than ever.
