ICRF | New York

Dear Friends,

Thank you for allowing us to share our mission with you. We are proud of what Israel Cancer Research Fund sponsored scientists have achieved and of the discoveries and cures that have emanated from their work.

As Co-Chairmen of the New York Division of ICRF we are charged with the objective of raising much of the funding to support these brilliant scientists. New York is one of the most philanthropic cities in the world and our division’s activities are geared toward continually growing our contributors.

We are grateful to our active New York Board and staff for organizing and running the vast array of functions that enable us to reach out to new and existing donors that share our vision. As the hosts of the Scientific Review Panel that meets here in New York each March, we witness firsthand the large number of highly promising projects that are considered. It is extremely encouraging to observe the reviews and the promise they hold, but the ones we cannot support hurt, because we would have funded them, but for the money. We think about them with concern. Did that unfunded project hold the answer to curing cancer?

We strongly believe that supporting basic cancer research in Israel will lead to more cures and contribute to the eradication of cancer globally. Only by raising more money to support every viable project will this mission succeed. We hope that you will join us with your contributions.

Sincerely,

Kenneth Goodman
