Dance The Night Away

The Montreal ICRF New Leadership division is in the midst of planning an exciting evening at Time Supper Club.  This tremendous group of young adults between the ages of 25-35 will be hosting a 1930 theme dinner with the support of its title sponsor Sam Fayer, CEO of MAS Sales. During the evening there will be a live auction with a variety of exciting travel, home, spa, and many other packages up for bid. This group is in the midst of trying to develop a Celebrity Poker Tournament scheduled for late July. Each participant will have the opportunity meet the celebrity poker player, Phil Helmuth and be treated to a free poker lesson. The final table will be chauffeured to a US destination where they will be eligible to share in a large size pool. In addition, the winner of the final table will receive an entry into the 2006 WSOP.

Gift Wrapping Marathon

The 12th annual Gift Wrapping fundraiser took place once again at the newly renovated Rockland Shopping Center from Dec 12th-24th. This year we were very fortunate to have the sole gift wrapping kiosk in the mall giving us the opportunity to attract all the active shoppers. Thanks to the efforts of a dedicated group of 146 women, men and students, this project once again surpassed our previous years revenue over a grueling 14 day marathon. It is important to mention that a dedicated group of volunteers on Friday Dec 23rd, collectively wrapped a total of $5460 in a very limited space. There level of enthusiasm, dedication was truly inspiring. Arlene Silver, Executive Director of ICRF Montreal's chapter, thanks each and every volunteer and sponsor for their support and dedication. We look forward to wrapping, curling, bowing with each and every one of you and always welcome new volunteers. We offer so many different events that each one has its own particular agenda that might fit your schedule, needs or level of excitement.

Montreal's  1st ICRF Experience

Montreal's Next Generation division annually creates a Fashion Show at the beginning of February. This year a dynamic group of volunteers between the ages of 18-21 named the event, The ICRF Experience. They decided that no longer is the focus going to be on fashion but rather on the personal experience that they and the other volunteers would derive from their involvement.  On February 16th, at Le Ballroom, 42 volunteers joined efforts in front of two sold out shows and performed a variety of dances that focused on their creativity and their commitment to our worthy cause. A total of 1200 guests enjoyed a mixture of videos and songs that accented the theme, "Around The World". Once again students between the ages of 8-16 from Bonnie's School of Dance and 8 Count performed in front of their family and friends. Their participation at such a young age enables us to teach them the values and benefits of giving in order to help others. Co- producers Gill Eliahoo, Brian Etcovitch, and Erin Segal plus their coordinators experienced through their involvement ways in which they were able to be creative, assume leadership roles, and derive pleasure and satisfaction from all their hard work and dedication. When students immediately approach ICRF with their support for next year, this is a true testament of all the great work that is being done.
