ICRF Chicago brings Prostate cancer to your focus, being one of the leading causes of cancer death among men, is particularly difficult to treat when it spreads to the bone. In fact, metastasis to the bone is implicated in seven out of ten prostate cancer deaths. Now a treatment developed and being tested in immunodeficient mice by the head of the Weizmann Institute’s Immunology Department, Professor Zelig Eshhar, has demonstrated how a treatment that works on cancer to the prostate can be redirected to the bones. Dr. Eshhar’s research is funded by an ICRF Honorary Award.
